Thanks to Greensgrow Farms for bringing a beautiful sanctuary garden to H.A. Brown! FHAB volunteers celebrated Earth Day alongside Brown students and staff, our friends at Greensgrow, and volunteers from Subaru of America and PricewaterhouseCoopers to plant calming River Birch trees, succulents, and more in the schoolyard. We also tended to the trees surrounding the school, and cleaned and weeded the neighboring Rainbow Garden. Special thanks to the OIC and Autistic Support students and staff who lent their hands after school during Earth Week for additional digging and planting. "Atoms make up the world." H.A. Brown students talked scientific concepts, folk tales, book making, and art creating today with local author and illustrator, Kara J. Rutledge. Thank you, Kara, for sharing your work and inspiring H.A. Brown's students!
